Featuring some of the top music and production talent in the region, the Louisville-based Band, “The Dark Side of the Wall” recreates the legendary shows of Pink Floyd’s classic era in exquisite detail. The Dark Side of the Wall delivers an uncanny sonic reproduction of the studio and live sound of the band using vintage equipment played by exceptional musicians. Along with the detailed and accurate sound, the band incorporates intelligent lighting and video production to create an immersive multimedia experience that enhances the music and transports the audience backwards in time.
The Dark Side of the Wall is a group of professional musicians and support professionals. Under competent management who share both music industry experience and a huge passion for the music, The Dark Side of the Wall is a complete organization consisting of 6 instrumentalists, 3 female backup singers, and a crew of (currently) 12 that support this complex endeavor.

About the Band
ALLEN NEEDHAM

Allen conceived The Dark Side of the Wall back in 2008 and has served as its Artistic and Managing Partner since its inception. He also serves as the Music Director and on stage production designer for the band and works closely with the local labor union from load in to load out, from production to design, he works to produce the best show possible every year. Allen is a native of Kentucky and has developed a reputation in the region as both a “monster performer” and a top-shelf songwriter. He, along with Steve Katsikas, is the co-managing partner of The Dark Side of the Wall.
Steve, a multi-instrumentalist and singer, has been a lifelong fan of Pink Floyd. He founded the progressive rock band, Little Atlas, in Miami in the late 1990s. After a number of years performing and touring, Little Atlas was signed to 10T Records and released 3 critically acclaimed albums. Little Atlas has toured and performed extensively (including playing with both Chicago and Earth Wind & Fire and performing at an international progressive music festival). Little Atlas was honored in 2005 as Best Original Rock band in Miami by the Miami New Times. Steve moved to Louisville in 2006 and performed with Edgehill Avenue and French TV. He, along with Allen, is the co-managing partner of The Dark Side of the Wall.

Tony is one of the most sought-after bassists in the region. He has appeared with scores of bands and played on dozens of recordings. His ability to groove “in the pocket” has led to him appearing on stage with Otep and Future Leaders of the World. He has been in several highly successful Louisville bands including Fire Department, Big Rock Show, Adrenal Intake, The Victims, Hemi Buddha, and most recently, recording artists “BoneJinn”. In addition to his bass prowess, Tony Z is a powerful vocalist whose voice is perfectly suited for the tortured “Roger Waters” vocal parts in the band. He is both the consummate musician and a spellbinding performer.
Mario is a lifelong Pink Floyd fan and a veteran of the Miami music scene. He relocated to Louisville in 2022. Mario has more than twenty-five years of experience as a recording engineer, drummer, and educator. Some of his recording and performance credits include Colombian actress/singer Diana Hoyos, Award-winning Native American songwriter and musician Howard Lyons, critically acclaimed guitarist Dave Feder, South Florida Blues Legend Joey Gilmore, Jefferson Airplane, and the Costa Rican version of “Bailando por un Sueño, ” a live reality TV show.

A native of Germany, Karsten is well versed in music of all types.
A Louisville, KY native, Jennifer began her career in the entertainment centers of the U.S., incl. Las Vegas and LA, appearing on bills with notable acts like Lou Rawls (at the Lion’s Den of the MGM Grand Hotel); Sonny King (at Harold’s Club in Reno); Mel Torme and Morey Amsterdam (at the Lookout House in Covington, KY). The biggest thrill of her career was when the great Duke Ellington invited her to sit in for a tune with the band at the Al Hirt Club in New Orleans. When she returned to Louisville, she formed several combos, and has been performing in jazz venues for the past several years. She has recorded six CDs ranging in style from Ella Fitzgerald to k.d. lang.

Sarah comes from a long family line of musicians. Growing up around her grandfather who played in rock and bluegrass bands ever since she could remember, Sarah gained an early appreciation for artists such as Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash who ignited a passion for singing at a very early age. Sarah has been a part of the Louisville music scene in some capacity for much of her life. A lifelong fan of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, Sarah is thrilled to be a part of this amazing group and to have the opportunity to bring to life such influential and powerful music.
Holly has extensive experience as a professional singer. She began her career in 2007 and has never stopped to look back. She appeared on CMT, where she rated as a finalist on the network’s hit reality show, “Can You Duet,” placing 8th out of 6,000 contestants. She and her group “86West” then signed with the Nashville record label, McArmor Records™. Holly continues to perform on a regional basis, primarily under the auspices of her duo “Josh and Holly,” but is also a member of “86West,” “The Holly Jackson Band,” and “Learnin’ Live.” There’s no stopping this very talented lady.
